Most email templates are loud because the tool that made them was loud. You do not have to be.
A single column. One typeface. Real words near the top, not a hero image you hope loads. A button that says what happens when you click it. A footer that does not apologise for existing.
The Mule Mail starter templates are deliberately plain. They render the same in Outlook 2016 and on a phone, and they will look fine in three years.
