Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and the controls you have.
Last updated May 17, 2026
This document is operator-provided content for the Mule Mail product and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before public launch.
Who this covers
This explains how Mule Digital handles two kinds of data: information about Mule Mail account holders, and contact data that account holders upload and send to. For contact data, the account holder is the controller and Mule Mail is the processor; see the Data Processing Addendum.
What we collect about account holders
- Account details: name, email, organisation, role.
- Billing details, handled by our payment processor; we store the last four digits and billing country only.
- Product usage and logs needed to run, secure, and support the service.
What account holders upload
Contact records (email, name, custom fields), templates, and campaign content. We process this only to provide the service: rendering, sending, tracking the events you enabled, and reporting.
Tracking in sent email
Open and click tracking is a feature you control per campaign. Open tracking uses a pixel; Apple Mail Privacy Protection opens are marked low-confidence rather than counted as engagement. Recipients can stop all of it by unsubscribing, which is one click and never requires a login.
Retention
Account data is kept while the account is open and for a limited period after closure for legal and accounting needs. An account holder can delete a contact at any time; we remove personal data and keep only a one-way hash of the email on the suppression list so a deleted address is not mailed again.
Your controls
- Access, export, and delete contact data from the contact profile.
- Export all of an organisation's data on request.
- Object to non-essential processing by contacting us.
Sub-processors
We use a small set of sub-processors for delivery, storage, payments, and error monitoring. The current list is available on request and maintained in the Data Processing Addendum.
International transfers
Data may be processed in the United States and other countries. Where required we rely on standard contractual clauses.
